Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the md2docx website and conversion service. By using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service description
md2docx provides a free, ad-supported utility that converts Markdown input into Microsoft Word (DOCX) documents. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without prior notice.
2. No accounts, no long-term storage
md2docx does not require user accounts or logins. We do not provide cloud storage for your documents. Any content you submit is processed for the purpose of generating a DOCX file and then discarded as described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Your content and responsibilities
By using md2docx, you represent and warrant that:
- You have the rights and permissions necessary to convert the content you submit.
- Your use of the service and your content do not violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights.
- You will not submit content that is illegal, abusive, harassing, malicious, or otherwise inappropriate for a public web service.
You retain any ownership rights you have in your documents. We do not claim ownership of your content, and we do not reuse it except as necessary to perform the conversion.
4. Prohibited uses
You agree not to:
- Use md2docx for unlawful purposes or to violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service or any related systems or networks.
- Attempt to circumvent security or access-controls implemented by the service.
- Use automated tools to overload, scrape, or abuse the service beyond normal usage.
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from the service where not permitted by law.
5. Advertising and third-party services
md2docx is supported by advertising. Third-party ad networks may display advertisements around the conversion interface. We do not endorse any advertised products or services, and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability.
6. No warranties
The service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that output will be compatible with all versions of Microsoft Word or other DOCX readers.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, md2docx and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, resulting from:
- Your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the service;
- Any conduct or content of any third party on or related to the service; or
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless md2docx and its owners, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the service or your violation of these Terms.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date below. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing law
